Apocalypse HUD v2.03 released
This update has been a bit overdue, but the HUD has finally moved to mono. There was some redesigning of the sensor/cache system to integrate the two (the total stack is now larger, while at the same time eliminating linked message overhead). The Name2Key service was moved from W-hat to nk2.AppSpot (which means that any avatar can be added via name now, not just ones that are in the database, this was a rather big issues with zero day alts). Due to the changes the HUD does not make any timed link messages, which was previously required for synchronization between certain components. This should reduce overhead as values are not going to be constantly copied back and forth. And last but not least I have introduced a slightly experimental non phys chair based on an idea I had a long while ago.
Name2Key Services Opened
Synthetic Knowledge is proud to open up our very own name to key service, n2k.AppSpot. This new service utilizes Google's app engine as a host and the Second Life search to instantly resolve an avatar's name to their respective key without needing a database of previously encountered avatars. Currently it is in an early stage of development, but the name to key service is fully functional. Once WEB-952 is resolved then the key to name service will also be fully functional.
